About Chade-Meng Tan
Chade-Meng Tan, known as Meng, was one of Google's earliest engineers. He helped build its first mobile search service and led a team that watched over search quality. His title there was Jolly Good Fellow, and he retired from the company at 45. At Google he led the creation of the mindfulness course Search Inside Yourself. He later co-founded the Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute with Marc Lesser. He is an international bestselling author, and his books in our catalog are Search Inside Yourself and Joy on Demand. Meng co-chairs One Billion Acts of Peace. He also backs Stanford University's Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education (CCARE), as one of its founding patrons. He served as executive producer of the film Walk With Me, about Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh.
