About David McRaney
David McRaney is a science journalist interested in brains, minds and culture. He started out as a newspaper reporter in the Deep South, where he covered Hurricane Katrina. Later roles included editor, photographer, television host and lecturer. His 2009 book You Are Not So Smart was an internationally bestselling title, and the podcast of the same name grew out of it. The follow-up, You Are Now Less Dumb, looks further at self-delusion and how to work against the brain's natural habits. After finishing How Minds Change, he made a six-hour audio documentary on the history of the word genius. He also gives lectures around the world on reasoning, belief and decision-making.
