Seth Godin was born in 1960 and also writes under the pen name F. X. Nine. He is an American author and entrepreneur who also writes a blog. Before becoming known as a writer, he started an early online company called Yoyodyne. He sold it to Yahoo!, where he then served as Vice President of Direct Marketing. He later founded Squidoo.com and the altMBA, an online education program. Linchpin came out in 2008 and asks readers to do work that matters. His other books include Purple Cow and The Practice. He has been inducted into the Marketing Hall of Fame.
